“The 14-point plan is a couple of techniques that have been combined to reduce the risk of implant infection, at the time of introduction of the implant into the breast. And this is really important because it’s been shown to reduce things like capsular contracture, which is a hardening the breast implant with time. But also for reduction of ALCL. It’s internationally accepted and it’s endorsed by ASAPS, ASPS and ISAPS. So it’s really a recommended technique. You should ensure that your breast plastic surgeon utilises this 14-point plan to optimise your safety.”
