Australasian Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons Annual Conference 2019
“An expert is a man who has made all the mistakes which can be made, in a narrow field.” – Neils Bohr
The Australasian Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (ASAPS) is excited to be hosting its 42nd Annual Conference from 3 – 6 October at the Brisbane Sofitel Hotel.
The ASAPS Conference this year will include esteemed local speakers and five renowned international Plastic Surgeons sharing their expert pearls and tips in facial, body and breast surgery. The 2019 ASAPS Conference is ideally timed, as it follows the MAFAC post graduate cadaver course and the 2019 ISAPS Meeting and coincides with the school holidays for most of Australia and New Zealand.
Who can attend?
The ASAPS Annual Conference is held exclusively for Specialist Plastic Surgeons and their practice staff.
Building on the strengths of our past meetings, the ASAPS Conference will provide attendees with the very latest tools, techniques and thoughts in the arena of aesthetic surgery so that surgeons and their practice staff can emulate excellence in all they say and do.
There will be something on offer for everyone with the scientific program covering facial, breast and body contouring surgery. Also, for the first time, we will have an onsite Practice Managers tour and, for our younger fellows, we will be hosting the inauguralASAPS Aesthetic Breast Course that will provide valuable insights into how to set up a practice and the nuances of breast augmentation surgery.
We have a distinguished international faculty lining up to speak about a plethora of topics covering the full spectrum of aesthetic surgery.
Keynote speakers to date include:
- Dr Brad Calobrace (Kentucky, USA)
- Dr Sam Hamra (Texas, USA)
- Dr Andrew Jacono (NYC, USA)
- Dr Dirk Richter (Germany)
- Dr Lina Triana (Colombia)
Business Management Stream
Running in parallel with the conference will be a business stream aimed at equipping Practice Managers with the tools and information to grow and sustain their practices.
Topics that will be covered include HR issues, social media and marketing tips, ideas and advice on patient management and increasing customer satisfaction, to name just a few.
An integral component to the success of the ASAPS Conferences are the social engagements which provide attendees an invaluable networking opportunity in an informal setting. The Gala Dinner will be at one of Australia’s newest and most chic hotels, the W hotel.
We hope you can take up this wonderful opportunity to join us in the sunshine capital, Brisbane. While we know our Scientific Program and stellar line-up of speakers will be the major drawcard, we will also be providing you with an action packed social agenda.
